Pentgram v1.3 Update Pentagram update for C64 & Plus4 and new C128 VDC version. I’ve made some improvements to the CBM code of Pentagram and also made native C128 Vic-II and VDC versions. (Both 16k & 64k VDC supported). The C64 and Plus4 versions now run slightly faster. Both versions are getting very close to the speed of the Spectrum version. The native C128 Vic-II version is now slightly faster than the Spectrum version and the C128 VDC version is the fastest of them all by some distance! Changes include: 5% Speed increase and less memory used by improving all the main CBM routines. (The Sprite Blit to Screen routine is 30% faster.) Excellent new title screen by STE. SuperCpu compatibility for all versions. Many thanks to Redrumloa for the SuperCpu testing. Option on Extras page to fix frame rate at 3 different speeds for accelerator users. (So you can slow the game down a bit to make it easier to play with SuperCpu & TC64.) Moved fire onto Space Bar and pickup onto M key in keyboard mode. (Pickup is still on the Space Bar in joystick mode.) Special Novaload C64 tape version, made to look similar to the original C64 Ultimate tape games. Thunder/Wind sfx removed (sorry!) to keep the music and sfx player separate to save some cpu time. Please note that if you play the C128 VDC version with WinVice then please turn off “Video cache” in the Video settings/VDC render box, as you might get video corruption if you don’t. LINK

Auf der aktuellen RETURN-C64 Heftdiskette 1 ist eine 1A-Portierung von Pentagram drauf!!! RETURN HEFTDISK Wohl schon seit April gibt es diese Portierung. Indie Retro News Wahnsinn! Einfach so ohne großes TamTam wird da klammheimlich so ein Klassiker für den Cevi umgesetzt. Komisch! Ja, fehlt noch Knight Lore. Soweit ich weiß, hat man ja mal damit angefangen, oder?

Von diesem Spiel habe ich nie etwas gehört. Die Waldgrafik sieht echt gut aus, leider soll die Steuerung misslungen sein. Das Ding hätte auf dem CPC in Farbe sicher schön ausgesehen.

Ich habe mich gefragt, ob Sabreman wirklich bie "Pentagram" die Hauptrolle als Zauberer spielt? Und ja, in der Anleitung steht es: Auszug: Having escaped from the curse of the werewulf in Knight Lore, Sabreman is back to his old exploring habits again. Disguised as a wizard, he must search the haunted forest for the long-lost Pentagram...

Die CPC Version gibt es nicht! Bei der CPC-Power steht unter Kategorie: UNRELEASED! LINK Kann es sein das "Sabre Man" nur auf dem Spectrum alle Abenteuer erleben durfte? Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde, Knight Lore, Gunfright & Pentagram? Auf dem C64 und dem CPC fehlt wohl die ein oder andere Umsetzung?

Der Screenshot war mir schon vor 24 Jahren ein Rätsel: Warum ist das Ding schwarzweiß ? Ist das die Speccy-Version?
