Kleine Systemgeschichte: Meine Karriere begann als Grundschüler, der bei seinen Freunden und Nachbarn C64, Atari ST und NES spielte und zuschaute. Mein erster eigener Rechner war dann ein A500 (1990), gefolgt von einem SNES (92) und einem A1200, der dann kräftig aufgerüstet wurde (HD, Turbo, RAM) und bis Anfang 97 durchhielt. Als aktueller Hauptrechner folgten ein paar PCs, bis ich 2006 dann genug hatte und mir einen MacPro kaufte, welcher 2010 durch ein aktuelleres Modell ersetzt wurde. Aufgrund der fragwürdigen Behandlung seiner Pro-Kundschaft bin ich für die Arbeit wieder auf einen PC umgesattelt. Ich spiele und spielte eigentlich schon immer querbeet durch alle Genres, auch wenn die Spiele, die mich am meisten packten doch meist Rollenspiele waren. Aber auch Strategie und Adventures stehen hoch im Kurs, was aber nicht heissen soll, dass gute Plattformer (sowohl eher hüpf- als auch baller- oder kampforientiert), Klopper oder ShootEmUps hier verschmäht würden. Auch Puzzlegames und Flipper kommen gelegentlich dran, lediglich Simulationen stehen überhaupt nicht auf der Agenda, auch habe ich schon jahrelang keine Wirtschaftssimulation mehr angefasst und vermisse das auch nicht. Immerhin! (Aber früher: auch das...) Da ich selbständig tätig bin und drei Kinder habe komme ich naturgemäß nicht mehr so oft zum konzentrierten spielen. Aktuelle Spiele sind in letzter Zeit dennoch wieder häufiger erworben und gestartet worden, hat mich doch die aktuelle Indie-Szene gepackt, für mich erscheinen dort viele sehr interessante, schön altmodische oder fordernd experimentelle Spiele. Mit "The Witcher 3" habe ich auch ein Spiel durchgespielt, welches zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch keine 5 Jahre alt war. Retro spiele ich (natürlich) auch noch, wenn dann aber ausschliesslich im Emulator: - Win XP über Parallels Desktop (OS X) - Amiga über WinUAE (im emulierten Win XP) - NES über Nestopia (OS X) - SNES über SNES9x (OS X) - SEGA Game Gear, Master System und MegaDrive über Kega Fusion (OS X) - PC Engine über Magic Engine (OS X) - DOS über Dosbox (OS X) - MAME / NeoGeo über MAME (OS X) Klassische Hardware besitze ich aber dennoch ein bisschen: - alter PC, Pentium 2 - NES - SNES - Game Gear - A500 (1MB) - A1200 (8 MB, HD, Blizzard 1230 IV + FPU (50Mhz)) (alle offline) Was meine "Spiele, die drym noch spielen möchte"-Liste angeht: Nicht jedes der dort gelisteten Spiele möchte ich DURCHSPIELEN, ich nutze das Feature, um mir Spieletitel zu merken, die ich mir noch mal näher anschauen möchte. Was davon dann intensiv gespielt wird, wenn die Zeit reif ist, wird sich zeigen.
